Looking for relevant and innovative this summer? The CUE Professional Learning team has you covered. We have put together several professional learning events for educators to add to or expand upon current practices.
Krause Center For Innovation (KCI)
Check out CUE’S SUMMER AT THE KRAUSE CENTER FOR INNOVATION (KCI) for a variety of two-day workshops. Each of these is theme-based and focuses on how to infuse technology into teaching and learning. Choose from Google, Apple, or Microsoft Workshops and earn one unit from Foothill College. Registration at Foothill College is required.
CUE’s Google Workshops
A one-day workshop more your speed? Come to the capital city of California, where the CUE Professional Learning team will be offering two workshops at Natomas Charter School:
June 17, 2014
9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Our Google Workshop for Administrators (GWA) introduces participants to innovative ways Google tools can be used in educational leadership. A full day of fast-paced presentations and hands-on activities includes experience with advanced search techniques, collaborative web-based applications, and inspirational strategies for instruction and leadership.
Date: July 8, 2014
9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Go Google to create an academically rigorous curriculum and prepare students for the Common Core. Use Google Apps to investigate, collaborate, create, and publish. This workshop addresses the literacy and technology standards required by CCSS. Educators will learn strategies and technology tools that prepare them for the pedagogical shifts required by the new standards. This is a hands-on, “Make-and-Take” seminar where teachers will practice and apply newly acquired skills. Empower and motivate students to become critical thinkers, imaginative creators, and digital leaders. Help them achieve beyond their expectations and leave with inspiring ideas that you can implement in your classroom.
We hope to see you at one of our Professional Learning events this summer. The CUE Professional Learning Team is also happy to put together a variety of different professional learning events just for you. Fill out the request form, and we will bring our Lead Learners to your school, district or university.
